It's true that real-estate has changed a lot, and that there are more go-getters in our field now.

"They say agents are salespeople who can't get a job," says real estate< agent Lori Sacco... Real estate has always been a job with a low bar for entry.

But I think it is ridiculous to say that "real estate" has been a job with a low bar for entry. OK, yes, if you just want to enter real estate it isn't too hard to do so. To be successful, though, is orders-of-magnitude more difficult and requires dedication and smarts. All the long-term agents that I know are smart, smart people.
